I am delighted that my Government colleagues have today approved the Regeneration implementation plan. This approval will result in much more visible action on the ground in Regeneration areas.
I have championed the cause of Regeneration in Limerick both inside and outside of Cabinet and the approval of the implementation plan is a very important milestone. As we all know, the Regeneration programme is vital for the future development of Limerick City.
In January, the Cabinet approved a provisional allocation of €25 million for the Limerick Regeneration programme for 2010. Despite the country’s economic climate, this Government is determined to follow through on our promise to fully support Limerick Regeneration Agencies.
